Frenchie Rescue:
We recently became involved in the rescue of several neglected French Bulldogs from a family that became overwhelmed and could no longer properly care for them. This post is not about blame. It’s about these dogs, their future, and giving them the loving lives they deserve.
Each one of these girls has completely stolen our hearts. Despite everything they’ve been through, they are sweet, trusting, and so deserving of a fresh start. While the two younger dogs already have homes lined up, we still have three wonderful girls urgently in need of foster or forever homes.
Before placing them, we are taking the time to fully assess their health and ensure they receive the care they’ve gone without for far too long. Every dog has been examined, vaccinated, tested for heartworm, dewormed, treated for fleas and ear infections, and they are undergoing further diagnostics, including biopsies for concerning lumps and bumps. (Possible mast cell).
We are delaying spay surgeries until they have had time to settle in and we better understand any underlying medical conditions.
The medical expenses have been significant and completely unexpected, but we are incredibly grateful to our friend Xander Simunek DVM and his amazing team at Core Vet for stepping up to help these dogs receive the care they desperately needed.
We are also deeply grateful to @wasawestport for trusting us to be part of this rescue effort.
As we continue their medical treatment, donations are also greatly appreciated. Every dollar goes directly toward giving these dogs the care, comfort, and second chance they deserve.
We will be sharing more about each girl individually soon, but for now, our focus is simple: getting them healthy, getting them safe, and finding them the loving homes they have always deserved.
